I hooked it up with a bypass switch for an electric fan. The probe is in a Tee on the upper hose. The bypass switch turns the fan on so I know the wiring is hooked up correctly but this themoswitch doesn't work. Won't turn the fan on. Kind of an important feature is that this thing would work. Now I have to tap into the stock stitch for the auxiliary fan until I get a better switch. Disappointing and won't buy another American Volt.

Good American made and sold product. Passed my heat gun test, went on when it should, went off when it should. Like the power 2 terminal clips vs the single terminal ground setups for electrical fans myself. Has hard to find sizes for less than anyone else.

Switches nicely (so far) - as others have noted, be careful not to put too much torque on that small brass thread into the adapter. Some thermal grease on the flat face is useful, to keep corrosion out.

Looks and feels well built. I was a little hard on mine and it snapped off while turning with my fingers.
